IKDRC Case Study - Remote Monitoring of Pregnancy

IKDRC Case Study - Remote Monitoring of Pregnancy

Purpose

Cordia®, in partnership with IKDRC (Institute of Kidney Disease and Research Centre, Ahmedabad), launched "Remote Monitoring of Pregnancy," a pioneering project aimed at transforming healthcare for pregnant women in rural and remote areas. Utilizing the innovative Cordia® platform, this project is designed to ensure continuous care, enhance monitoring, and facilitate early intervention, ultimately improving maternal health outcomes. By providing high-quality remote monitoring throughout pregnancies, the initiative aims to detect complications early and implement crucial preventive measures, laying the foundation for the scalability of technology-driven healthcare solutions in India's public hospitals.

Focus

This new sustainable healthcare solution reduces pressure on the healthcare system, ensures safe and flexible treatment for pregnant women, and results in fewer acute contacts with the healthcare system.

Learnings

Through this project, we gained valuable insights into the integration of technology with maternal healthcare, particularly in resource-limited settings. We understood the challenges and best practices for implementing remote monitoring solutions, the impact of early intervention on maternal and fetal health outcomes, and the overall scalability of such technological solutions in broader public healthcare systems. These learnings will be crucial for refining our approach and expanding the reach and effectiveness of maternal healthcare services.

Timeline

The first phase of the project runs from January to August 2024, the first women were included in April.

SGPGI Case Study - Transforming Maternal Healthcare Through Remote Monitoring

Purpose

Cordia®, in collaboration with SGPGI (Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow), is proud to launch a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming maternal healthcare for pregnant women in rural and remote areas. Leveraging the innovative Cordia® platform, this project is designed to provide continuous care, enhance monitoring, and facilitate early intervention, significantly improving maternal health outcomes. By ensuring high-quality remote monitoring throughout pregnancies, we aim to detect complications early and implement crucial preventive measures, laying the groundwork for scaling up technological benefits across public hospitals in India.

Focus

This new sustainable healthcare solution reduces pressure on the healthcare system, ensures safe and flexible treatment for pregnant women, and results in fewer acute contacts with the healthcare system.

Learnings

Our collaboration with SGPGI has provided invaluable insights into the challenges faced by pregnant women in underserved areas and the transformative potential of technology in addressing these issues. The project has highlighted the importance of continuous monitoring and early detection in preventing complications and improving maternal health outcomes. Additionally, we have learned that leveraging technology can significantly enhance adherence to care plans and promote healthy lifestyle choices among expectant mothers. By demonstrating the tangible benefits of technological intervention in maternal healthcare, this project aims to create a robust evidence base that supports the widespread adoption of such solutions in public health systems, ultimately empowering women and enhancing maternal care in these communities.
